Parallel Bible Reading Plan

This provides a simple method for reading the Bible in 9 locations simultaneously that is not tied to the calendar.

Cycle 1- Pentateuch
Cycle 2- OT History
Cycle 3- Writings and Minor Prophets less the Psalms and Proverbs
Cycle 4 - Psalms
Cycle 5 - Proverbs
Cycle 6 - Major Prophets
Cycle 7 - Gospels
Cycle 8 - Acts, General Epistles, and Revelation
Cycle 9 - Pauline Epistles

There are a number of benefits to this approach.

Since each of the 9 cycles is independent from each of the others, inability to read in one or more of the cycles on any particular day does not disrupt the over all plan.
Each cycle is a different length so that the passages that are being read together are different on each cycle.
One chapter of Proverbs and one Psalm are read each day.
Calendar days are not aligned with reading portions allowing flexibility and eliminating the burden of being "behind."
You can transition seamlessly from a current reading plan without "starting over" by simply putting the appropriate bookmark(s) in your current reading location(s).

Download a template for bookmarks for each of the 9 cycles. Each bookmark, which lists the books in the cycle, can be cut out and laminated.

Download the reading plan in a single page checklist format. This eliminates having 9 bookmarks throughout your Bible but requires a pen and more time to find the reading location.
